The University of Lleida and the City Council have launched a housing project at Casa dels Artistes to support refugee students from conflict zones in the Segrià capital.

Students Majd Ismael from Syria and Jhoender Jiménez from Venezuela are part of the UdL Refugi program. They reside in renovated apartments on Cavallers Street, a collaborative effort between the university and local authorities.

"I love the city; it has the best of a town and the best of a city. I am trying to learn Catalan to fully integrate."
