The Lleida Provincial Council approved a motion this Thursday demanding the full transfer of the Rodalies railway service to the Generalitat and a declaration to guarantee 24-hour stroke care at Arnau de Vilanova Hospital.

The local government approved a proposal highlighting the chronic underfunding of the railway network. Supported by Junts-Impulsem, ERC, and Ara Pacte Local, the text rejects partial solutions and calls for direct management from Catalonia. President Joan Talarn announced a meeting of the Rodalies Table for February 27th.

"The solution cannot be a patch or co-management; what is needed is a real and integral transfer."

Regarding healthcare, all political groups signed a declaration demanding that Arnau de Vilanova Hospital perform mechanical thrombectomies 24 hours a day. Currently, the hospital only provides this service on weekday mornings due to a lack of specialized staff.
Additionally, the council unanimously requested the Government to reinstate the school white week. This initiative is seen as vital for the development of mountain regions and promoting healthy habits among students while boosting off-season tourism in the Pyrenees.
