The main objective of the online meeting was to establish joint strategies and lines of work between the Tourism Board and the winter resorts for the upcoming snow season.
After evaluating the previous season, including the balance of ski passes, investments, and commitment to innovation and sustainability, the resorts presented their proposals for the 2026-2027 season. The Board, for its part, presented the conclusions of a market study focused on French ski tourism in Lleida's resorts.
This study highlights the French market as local, loyal, and with little intermediation, showing strong interest in quality alpine skiing, the natural environment, and complementary offerings such as gastronomy and local lifestyle. French skiers seek large, quality ski areas and value investment in artificial snowmaking and piste maintenance. Good road accessibility positions these resorts as a competitive alternative to French Pyrenean resorts, favoring weekend getaways and medium-length stays.
The Tourism Board and the eleven ski resorts (alpine and Nordic) of the Lleida Pyrenees hold these annual meetings with the strategic objective of working together in communication and promotion to revalidate the achievement of 1.4 million ski passes sold and consolidate the economic impact on the territory.
