Man arrested for stealing traffic light wiring in downtown Lleida

The Lleida Local Police arrested a man on Sunday night for allegedly stealing electrical wiring from traffic lights on Príncep de Viana street in the capital of the Segrià region.

The arrest occurred at 10:05 PM after officers caught the individual in the act. He is now facing charges for theft related to the removal of public infrastructure materials.
This was not the only police intervention during the weekend. On Friday, March 13th, a 38-year-old man was detained on Balmes Avenue for threatening another person with an object. He was charged with a crime of threats.
Additionally, police reported a violent robbery at a commercial establishment on Bisbe Irurita street. The suspect reportedly pushed a security guard to the ground and damaged the store's door while attempting to flee the scene.
