Some citizens have observed the abundant presence of vegetation, including bushes, shrubs, and even young trees, over various areas of the Lleida cemetery. This situation is particularly visible in a section of the Sant Miquel department, where the plants have reached a considerable size.
Sources from the City Council (Paeria) have attributed this growth to the spring and summer weather conditions. The council has assured that plans are in place to carry out pruning and cleaning work in the coming days to resolve this issue.
“"It is planned to cut it in the coming days"
The municipal administration has sought to reassure the public, guaranteeing that the existing vegetation poses no risk or damage to the burial niches. It was also noted that pruning work on trees within the cemetery grounds has recently been completed.
