The teaching staff at Minerva School in Lleida has decided to suspend all school outings and family-related activities to highlight the ongoing crisis in the Catalan public education system.

This local action in the Segrià region aims to make the teachers' dissatisfaction visible. While some unions have reached agreements with the Department of Education, the school's staff believes further pressure is needed. Only trips with pre-contracted transport will proceed as planned.
Teachers are also expected to join the strikes scheduled for March 18 and 20, during which minimum services will be provided. Their demands focus on reducing student-to-teacher ratios, increasing support for inclusive education, and cutting administrative red tape.
The measure will remain in place until the end of the current academic year, with a review scheduled for next term depending on the progress of negotiations with the Administration.
