The Montoliu de Lleida council has finalized the comprehensive renewal of public lighting with LED technology and the installation of 230 smart meters, representing a total investment of 186,033 euros.

The replacement of the old public lighting in Montoliu de Lleida with latest-generation LED luminaires involved an investment of 126,033 euros. This action includes a remote management system that allows regulating the intensity of each light point individually, optimizing energy consumption.
This renovation, which will substantially reduce consumption and save on the electricity bill, was financed with EU funds through the DUS 5000 program, focused on clean energy and energy efficiency in municipalities with less than 5,000 inhabitants.
In parallel, the council has completed the installation of 230 smart water meters in homes and public facilities in the town. These works had an approximate cost of 60.000 euros.

"These works had a cost of about 60,000 euros and received a subsidy from the Generalitat, through the Agència Catalana de l’Aigua (ACA)."
