Approximately 120 people are currently homeless in the city of Lleida, with 85 of them living in group settlements, according to a report released by the Ombudsman in February 2026.

The data shows that 61 individuals are staying in 13 different settlements located within abandoned buildings, while 24 others live in outdoor camps. Only 35 people are reported to be living in isolated street situations, and just 29.2% are currently monitored by Social Services.
Demographically, the group is overwhelmingly male, with 34 men and one woman recorded. The most common age group is between 41 and 50 years old. Regarding legal status, 11 people are identified as undocumented, while 5 have regularized their situation in the country.
While Lleida offers 585 residential beds, which exceeds the total number of homeless individuals, the report notes a lack of public hygiene facilities, despite the availability of soup kitchens and clothing donation services.
