The People's Party municipal group in Lleida denounced this March the state of neglect in the Jewish Quarter, warning of forced entrances and social issues in the Cuirassa area.

The spokesperson for the party in the Paeria, Anna Florista, stated that the improvements promised by the local government in January 2025 have not been implemented. According to the group, the security gate at the Casa del Pogrom is currently broken, allowing unauthorized access to the historic site.

"The gate that closes the protection fence of the Casa del Pogrom is forced and broken, with open access to the interior. Furthermore, the space shows accumulated dirt and evident degradation."

Additionally, the PP highlighted safety concerns near Sant Cristòfol Street. They reported individuals sleeping rough and drug consumption near the Socio-educational Intervention Service Center (SIS), a facility dedicated to children and youth.
