A total of 42 public transport users in Almacelles have filed a formal complaint regarding the reduction of coach schedules to Lleida during the Christmas and summer holidays, causing overcrowding.

The signatories report that the cancellation of frequencies during periods without school activity leads to a severe lack of seats, especially on the last service of the day, at 9:00 PM. In a recent incident, about ten people were left stranded due to overcapacity.

The issue is not limited to the night schedule. Users have also experienced difficulties with the 7:45 AM services and on Saturdays, in addition to the complete lack of service on Sundays. The complaint letter was sent on Saturday to the ATM of Lleida, the City Council, the Government, and the concessionaire company, Autocars Gamón.

"We provide the services indicated to us; if they pay us more, we put more buses, and if they pay us less, fewer are provided."

The company Autocars Gamón recalled that the definition of schedules depends directly on the administration. Nevertheless, they admitted they would review potential isolated incidents of overcapacity recorded during the Christmas holidays, noting that a significant increase in service was already implemented in September.
