The Department of Health has identified a human case of swine flu A (H1N1) in Lleida, marking only the fourth such infection in Spain since 2009.

The case was discovered during routine epidemiological screening on February 13. The patient showed no respiratory symptoms, and all close contacts tested negative. Authorities from the WHO are now analyzing blood samples to confirm if the patient developed antibodies or if the sample was contaminated.
In related news, Agriculture Minister Òscar Ordeig announced 33 new cases of African Swine Fever in wild boars. While the total number of affected animals has reached 195, officials state that the situation remains contained within the high-risk zones of Catalonia.
