The Santa Maria Hospital in Lleida has launched a major renovation project to repurpose historic buildings within its grounds, creating 17 new consultation rooms and modernizing its administrative infrastructure.

The primary focus is the restoration of the old CAP building, located in the hospital gardens. With an investment of 1,998,426 euros, the project will provide new clinical spaces to meet growing healthcare demands in the Segrià region.

"This will allow us to empty all administrative spaces in the main building and hand them over to healthcare professionals for patient care."

Additionally, the public company GSS is overseeing the renovation of the 20th-century buildings on Rovira Roure Avenue. A budget of 498,721 euros has been allocated to transform the former CRAS center into administrative and training facilities.
The hospital is also addressing infrastructure needs with a 738,261 euro energy efficiency upgrade for the main building's facade and urgent waterproofing repairs on the ICU roof to fix recent leaks.
