Thousands of education professionals marched through the streets of Lleida this Thursday to demand more resources and the recovery of purchasing power, during a strike day marked by union division.

The mobilization, called by unions including USTEC-STEs, CGT, Aspepc-Sps, and Intersindical, gathered between 3,000 and 6,000 people. Protesters marched through the center of the Segrià capital from Ricard Viñes Square, expressing their rejection of the agreement signed by CCOO and UGT with the Department of Education.

"We are not asking for a salary increase, but to recover the lost purchasing power of 25%. Between 2009 and 2025, we have lost the equivalent of working two years for free."
