The Mossos d'Esquadra police force has reported that twenty repeat offenders currently hold a combined total of 359 police records in the Segrià region, specifically within the city of Lleida.

According to official data, the group consists of 17 men and three women aged between 20 and 44. A core group of eight individuals is particularly active, accounting for 212 offenses. In 2025, one individual was arrested 15 times by the Mossos and local police.

"Fast-track trials should be held so they accumulate sentences and records, thereby forcing prison entries."

Police officials highlight that many offenders have made theft their modus vivendi, often linked to drug use or marginalized backgrounds. Authorities are increasing patrols in high-theft areas like the Eix Comercial to curb the trend.
