The purchase of more than 700 properties by the Generalitat de Catalunya in the province of Lleida took place over the last decade (2015-2025) through two main channels: the right of first refusal and retraction exercised by the Agència de l'Habitatge de Catalunya (AHC) and direct acquisition by the Institut Català el Sòl (Incasòl). These flats are distributed mainly in the capital and nineteen other municipalities.
The AHC was responsible for acquiring 471 properties in the Lleida province, representing almost 8% of the total purchased in Catalonia during the same period. The total investment in these purchases amounted to 22.9 million euros. Most of these homes, specifically 197, are located in the city of Lleida, with an average cost of 54,852 euros.
In addition to the capital of Segrià, the AHC bought 21 flats in Alcarràs, two in Almacelles, and one each in Torrefarrera and Almenar. Other notable comarcas include Pla d'Urgell, with 117 units in Mollerussa, and Urgell, with 39 in Tàrrega. Purchases were also registered in Noguera (Balaguer), Segarra (Cervera), Alt Urgell (la Seu d'Urgell), Solsonès (Solsona), and Pallars Jussà (Tremp and la Pobla de Segur).
For its part, Incasòl directly acquired 197 homes in the province between 2021 and 2025. These operations include two lots in the capital of Lleida purchased from Inmocaixa and 48 flats in la Pobla de Segur acquired from Sareb in December 2023. These figures do not include the announcement made at the end of 2025 regarding the purchase of 49 additional flats in Lleida.
