A citizen and regular public transport user in Lleida has expressed indignation over the announced schedule of the new bus station, which will close at night, leaving travelers on the street.

The complaint, originally published in the newspaper Segre, points out that despite being a modern facility, the new Lleida bus station will maintain the same operating model as the previous one, remaining closed during nighttime hours.

We wonder what good a new station is if it does not fulfill its main function: to protect and serve the people who use it.

The user denounces that this decision forces people who must catch or wait for a bus late at night to remain on the street, exposed to the elements, the cold, and a “clear situation of insecurity,” without access to any minimum services.
The citizen states that, having traveled throughout the State, she has never encountered another provincial capital where the bus station leaves users unprotected outside the building. She calls on the political leaders and managers of the new station to reconsider the schedule and ensure it remains open while bus services are operating.
