Farmers lifted the A-2 blockade near Bell-lloc d’Urgell and Mollerussa (Lleida) this Saturday noon, but protests against the EU-Mercosur agreement remain active in other key locations across Catalonia.

The demonstrators, protesting against the agreement between the European Union (EU) and Mercosur, removed their vehicles from the A-2 around 12 noon on Saturday. Following cleanup operations, traffic flow has been restored to normal on this stretch of the road connecting Bell-lloc d’Urgell and Mollerussa.
Despite the reopening of the highway in Lleida, closures remain active on several main roads across Catalonia, and are expected to continue until this Sunday at the earliest. These include the AP-7 between Borrassà and Vilademuls (Girona), the C-16 between Casserres and Berga (Barcelona), and the access roads to the Port of Tarragona via the T-11 and A-27.
Sources from the Revolta Pagesa organization confirmed that the mobilizations will continue with a slow march of tractors through the center of Tarragona. This action is scheduled for Sunday at 12:00 p.m., starting at Plaça Imperial Tàrraco and covering several central points of the city.
