Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC) is increasing services and modifying schedules on the Lleida-La Pobla de Segur line starting next Monday, January 19, to meet growing demand and optimize connections.

The service expansion primarily focuses on the section between Lleida and Balaguer, where two additional midday services are incorporated, departing at 14:42 h from Lleida and 15:17 h from Balaguer, Monday through Friday. Furthermore, two afternoon services are added on Fridays, at 18:45 h (origin Lleida) and 19:20 h (origin Balaguer).
The schedule adjustment involves delays ranging from 5 to 20 minutes for several services. The main objective of this modification is to improve connectivity between FGC trains and the high-speed train (AVE) originating in Barcelona that arrives at the Lleida station.
For example, the 9:05 h train from Lleida to Balaguer is delayed by 5 minutes (to 9:10 h) every day except Saturday. Similarly, on weekends and holidays, the 7:47 h train from Lleida to La Pobla de Segur is delayed by 10 minutes (to 7:57 h) to connect with the AVE train arriving at 7:46 h in Lleida.
These changes were approved within the framework of the Commission of Follow-up of the Lleida – La Pobla de Segur – Esterri d'Àneu service, a body comprising local councils, the Regional Council, and economic and social agents, responding to user proposals.
