The Lleida City Council, through LleidaJove, has launched the second edition of the cycle “Adolescencia 360º”. This year, the initiative diversifies its offering with new activities specifically designed for teenagers, as well as proposals for joint experiences between young people and adults.
The program maintains its commitment to providing resources and tools for families to better support adolescence, but broadens its focus by incorporating young people as active protagonists. The Paeria thus reinforces its support for teenagers, creating municipal spaces for their expression, skill acquisition, exploration of interests, and decision-making about their future.
The Councilor for Education, Youth, and Employment, Xavi Blanco, highlighted the intention that "teenagers also be protagonists of this cycle. We not only want to talk about them, but to listen to them, offer them tools, and create spaces where they can express themselves, experiment, and make decisions." He emphasized that "accompanying young people is also a responsibility of the administration."
The inaugural session will take place on Wednesday, October 7th, at 6 PM, at LleidaJove (c. La Palma, 6-10). It will feature the conference “¿Entender la adolescencia sin morir en el intento?” (Understanding Adolescence Without Dying Trying?), led by educator, psychologist, and journalist Jaume Funes. This session is particularly aimed at families and adult role models for teenagers.
One of the main novelties is the expansion of activities directly aimed at young people, seeking to incorporate their voices and needs. The program will include the participation of Olympic water polo medalist Paula Leitón, with the session “Más allá de las medallas” (Beyond the Medals), addressing effort, difficulties, and decisions in a life journey. An artificial intelligence workshop and a coaching session will also be offered to help identify interests and future pathways.
Furthermore, a new line of shared family leisure is incorporated, with activities such as boxing sessions, an escape room, and electric bicycle rides through l'Horta de Lleida, designed to foster relationships, coexistence, and communication between teenagers and adults.
The cycle aims to offer a comprehensive view of adolescence, combining information, guidance, participation, sports, technology, and leisure. Activities are free, and registration can be completed at inscripcions.paeria.cat.
