The Assembly Hall of the Diputació de Lleida was the venue for this gathering, which brought together residents, tutors, and primary care professionals. The main objective of the conference was to foster knowledge and disseminate the research projects being carried out in the region's teaching centers.
During the event, research protocols were presented by third-year Medicine residents and first-year Nursing residents. Additionally, fourth-year Medicine residents and second-year Nursing residents showcased their final projects, demonstrating the results of their investigations.
“"This conference allows us to make visible the research talent of the residents and consolidate research as an essential tool to improve the quality of primary care."
The conference concluded with the recognition of two of the final projects presented. One of the awarded studies, conducted by Paola Mejías and Carla Romero, focused on the implementation of rapid diagnostic techniques in primary care to optimize antimicrobial decision-making in lower respiratory tract infections. The other honored work, by Carlos Leira, investigated the relationship between primary care patients' social media use and tobacco consumption.
This meeting also served to acknowledge the training efforts of the tutors from the teaching centers and to bid farewell to the residents completing their residency period.
