Lleida recorded 291 missing person reports in 2025

The region accounts for nearly 8% of all disappearance cases handled by the Mossos d'Esquadra across Catalonia.

The Mossos d'Esquadra police force registered 291 missing person reports in the Lleida region throughout 2025, according to the latest security report released by the authorities.

Within the province, 266 cases were reported in the Ponent police region, while 25 occurred in Alt Pirineu i Aran. These figures contribute to a national total of 3,682 reports across Catalonia, representing 0.62% of all police complaints filed during the year.
The 2025 data shows a 3.3% increase in disappearances of minors aged 13 to 17 and a 6.4% rise among those over 65. Conversely, reports involving adults aged 18 to 64 saw a significant decrease of 6.5%.
Demographic statistics indicate that 59% of the missing persons were men and 41% were women. By age group, adults make up 66% of the cases, followed by teenagers at 23%, seniors at 8%, and children under 12 at 3%.
