The Bucs d’assaig El Mercat facilities, managed by the Lleida City Council, have launched a casting call to find the young resident who will perform the official song for the Festa Major 2026, with registration open until February 20.

The call, aimed at young people between 18 and 30 years old residing in the municipality of Lleida, seeks to promote youth artistic creation and turn the song into an identifying element of the celebration. This project not only gives visibility to emerging artists but also strengthens the emotional bond between the citizens and their main festival.

"The Festa Major is the most relevant cultural moment for Lleida, and we want its song to be an authentic reflection of the city's talent and cultural vitality."

Xavi Blanco · Lleida Councillor for Youth, Education and Employment
Registration for the casting is free and can be formalized online until 11:59 PM on February 20. Selected applicants must attend the in-person auditions on March 2 at the Bucs d’assaig El Mercat facilities.
During the auditions, each participant must perform three songs of free choice, one of which must be over an instrumental track. A jury of local music professionals will evaluate vocal technique and artistic coherence within modern music styles such as pop, rock, urban, or soul. The winner will receive a gross prize of 1,000 euros, professional recording, and diffusion of the track, in addition to participating in the central events of the Festa Major.
