The Lleida City Council, led by Mayor Fèlix Larrosa, has presented the new POUM projecting the residential expansion of the Secà neighborhood to the north, integrating housing and a large sports and community area around the Recasens field.

The new Municipal Urban Planning Plan (POUM) for Lleida foresees a "large residential area" at the northern end of Secà. This expansion will follow the Camí de Marimunt street with the aim of connecting the neighborhood with the municipal football field of Recasens, the current headquarters of AEM.
The mayor, Fèlix Larrosa, explained that the city council has worked on a proposal with the club and other groups to build "a large sports and community space" with an "area for facilities and green zones around the current Recasens installations."

"The objective will be twofold: to improve the effectiveness of the club's competitiveness, allowing it to grow in services and facilities, and to create a great space for enjoyment for the residents."

In parallel with the presentation of the POUM, Larrosa visited the sewage renovation works this morning on Artur Mor street, in the Mariola neighborhood. He also confirmed that the works on Balmes avenue, carried out by the same company, are expected to finish around February 20.
These works on Balmes avenue are pending the installation of street furniture, the planting of trees, and the raising of all pedestrian crossings to create a single platform with the sidewalks, enhancing accessibility in the sector.
