Rodalies users in Lleida prefer punctuality over free service extension

Regular passengers on the RL3 and RL4 lines welcome the measure but demand definitive solutions to delays and service incidents.

Regular passengers on the Rodalies lines in Lleida have expressed mixed opinions regarding the extension of free service decreed by the Catalan Government due to continuous delays and accumulated incidents.

The decision by the Generalitat to extend the free service until all accumulated problems are resolved has been met with satisfaction, although many users, especially those commuting on the RL3 and RL4 lines (between Lleida and Cervera), consider it "the minimum". Amaia, a regular passenger, described using a service that does not work correctly as "shameful".

"I prefer to pay and have the trains arrive on time."

Vladímir · Rodalies User
Vladímir, who frequently travels to Bell-lloc, explained that he has not yet requested the free pass, as he believes the measure, while basic, does not solve the underlying issue. He stressed that gratuity does not compensate for constant delays.
Another case is Michael, a student at the UdL (University of Lleida), who uses the train or bus daily. He recounted that during the days of chaos on Rodalies, he was occasionally left stranded because the train was late. While accepting that the free service "compensates somewhat," he believes it fails to address the main problem.
Finally, José Antonio offered a broader perspective, viewing the Rodalies problem as a task requiring cooperation from the entire society to ensure arrival at destinations, rather than depending solely on the Government.
