The festival maintains last year's participation figures, with an expected attendance of between 200 and 250 people per day, continuing to unite yoga practice, reflection, and social action. The Councilor for Culture and Economic Promotion, Pilar Bosch, highlighted the Seu Vella as the venue, "because it is a beacon of our territory" and contributes to "a state of peace," linked to yoga.
Festival director Gabriel Pena explained that this edition positions yoga as a practice linked to personal growth and reflection on contemporary social challenges. The festival will combine yoga sessions, workshops, reflection spaces, debates, and musical performances.
“"We are committed to continuing to move towards an open and socially responsible program, fostering the participation of people in vulnerable situations."
A notable highlight will be the debate on Saturday, October 17th, at 4 PM, between nun Teresa Forcades and Lama Norbu, discussing the role of spirituality and activism in the current context. The event will be in Catalan with Spanish interpretation.
The main novelty is the expanded access for individuals linked to entities working in social vulnerability, offering free entry to professionals and users of various Lleida organizations. A pilot program with the Brians 2 Penitentiary Center is also being introduced, allowing participation of six inmates.
Music takes center stage with artists including Oriol Ginestà, Tess & Shunyata, José Manuel Leal, Lucas Masciano, Estela Benita Bernés, Marcelo Snock, and Somatrance, who will play a significant role in the daily closing ceremonies.
The first two editions generated a media impact valued at over 1.5 million euros. The third edition anticipates maintaining attendance between 200 and 250 participants per day, aiming for Lleida to become a reference point for a different understanding of yoga.
