The 6,000 residents of Anglès have experienced a week of uncertainty and resignation after a landslide last Sunday damaged the main pipeline, leaving the municipality without water supply.

The service interruption began exactly one week ago when a ground movement broke the main pipe supplying the nearly 6,000 inhabitants of Anglès. This situation forced residents to seek alternatives for daily tasks.
Many residents had to drastically adapt their routines, opting to wash clothes at relatives' homes or travel to shower at work or sports centers. The consumption of prepared meals and the need to fetch water from emergency tanks or supermarkets also increased.

"The problem is that we didn't know how long it would last."

"It has been an uncomfortable and busy week, because we had to go look for water in the tanks or at the supermarket."

Josep · Anglès Resident
Despite the inconvenience, the situation is starting to normalize. Since Thursday, the municipality already has non-potable water, and the Anglès City Council expects the service to fully recover, reaching 100% normality, during Monday.
