The Blanes City Council concluded the 2026 Fortnight for Peace on Friday, January 30, with a concentration at the Passeig de Dintre, emphasizing the involvement of local religious communities.

The concentration for peace, held at the Passeig de Dintre, has replaced the traditional March for Peace for the third consecutive year, a format change that has been well received by both organizers and participants.
The event was led by the Mayor of Blanes, Jordi Hernández, and included the presence of councilors, technical staff from the Social Action Area, and representatives of the Interreligious Dialogue Table.
Members of the evangelical, Islamic, and Catholic communities read texts on coexistence and respect, sharing messages of hope amid an international context marked by conflicts.
During the gathering, the new booklet La diversitat religiosa a Blanes (Religious Diversity in Blanes) was presented, published by the First Reception and Interculturality Service, which includes a map of worship centers and the 2026 Interreligious Calendar.
