The work, popularly known as 'Els Pastorets de Blanes' (The Shepherds of Blanes), was written in 1929 by the local author Pere Puig i Llensa. This version is the same one that premiered in 2023, recovering the theatrical tradition after several years of absence.
The artistic direction is once again led by actress Maria Solà, while the musical arrangements are the work of Martí Delgado, featuring live interpretation. The production maintains the essence of the struggle between good and evil, while adapting to modern times.
With nearly a hundred years of history, this version of the Blanes shepherds' play maintains the essence of the struggle between good and evil, while adapting to the times.
One of the main novelties this 2025 is that the character of Pinetell will be played by actress Ariadna Ribas, following the line of inclusion started last year when Maria Faust played the shepherd Cucut.
The project mobilizes nearly a hundred people, including amateur and semi-professional performers, musicians, and technicians. Local entities such as the Esbart Joaquim Ruyra also participate, alongside local artists who designed the sets.
Performances will take place on Saturday, December 20 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, December 21 at 6 p.m. Tickets can be purchased in advance on the website of the Teatre de la Costa Brava Sud or at the box office one hour before the start of the show.
