The service concessionaire, Aqualia, reported that the consumption ban was officially lifted after receiving approval from the Department of Health, which confirmed the water quality through the latest analyses performed.
The problems began more than a week ago when a landslide caused the main pipeline to break, leaving the town's 6,000 inhabitants without supply.
Although water service was partially restored last Thursday, the water was only suitable for sanitary uses such as showering or cleaning, with the prohibition on using it for drinking or cooking remaining in place until potability was confirmed on February 9, 2026.
