The restaurant and nightlife sector in Catalonia is anticipating an exceptionally busy Easter Week, particularly in coastal areas such as Lloret de Mar, where a significant influx of visitors is expected.

Current estimates project an average occupancy rate of 85%, five points higher than the figures recorded last year. This could reach 100% at peak times, especially on Good Friday and Holy Saturday nights. This increase is directly linked to favorable weather forecasts and the decision of many tourists, both national and international, to spend this holiday period in Catalonia.
The predominant visitor profile will be national tourists, estimated to represent approximately 70% of the clientele, while foreign tourism will have a more moderate presence. On the Costa Brava, towns like Lloret de Mar, Platja d’Aro, and Palamós have already seen a significant increase in restaurant reservations, particularly for family and group gatherings. As for nightlife, high attendance is expected, with some establishments potentially displaying 'full house' signs.
A key factor contributing to these positive outlooks is the extension of operating hours for four consecutive nights, from Maundy Thursday until Easter Monday. This measure will allow businesses to extend their activity, an initiative the sector considers crucial for boosting the start of the tourist season.
After several months marked by unfavorable weather conditions during key periods like Christmas and Carnival, businesses are confident that this Easter Week will serve to reactivate economic activity and solidify Catalonia's image as a leading tourist destination.
