The city of Blanes is preparing to host the third edition of the Talent Blanenc festival, an initiative that will run from September 5th to October 3rd. The program, officially presented this Tuesday, will primarily take place at the Teatre de Blanes and the Casa Saladrigas, offering a diverse selection of artistic activities.
This year, the festival will feature the premiere of the new poetry collection titled ‘Cos, Cosmos’ by Josep Ballesteros. Also on display will be the monologue ‘A la taula de la cuina’ by Teresa Gelpí, a piece addressing the right to abortion. Furthermore, the event will conclude with the 42nd Catalunya Bands Meeting, marking the first time it is held in the Girona province.
Culture technician Pere Box highlighted the importance of music in this edition, emphasizing "the high quality of the proposals." Meanwhile, Mayor Jordi Hernández recalled the positive reception the festival has received both artistically and in terms of audience attendance. Hernández added that the goal is to "foster" local talent, encompassing both emerging and established artists, through a total of eleven scheduled activities.
“"To foster the artistic talent that exists in the municipality."
The initiative will also include two vermouth tasting sessions guided by 'bartender' Mariona Vilanova, adding a gastronomic element to the festival's cultural offerings.
