The company Endesa has announced an investment of ten million euros for the years 2026 and 2027, aimed at expanding and reinforcing the electricity grid in various municipalities of La Selva, with a special focus on the Guilleries area.

This initiative will benefit localities such as Amer, Brunyola, Sant Martí Sapresa, La Cellera de Ter, Osor, Sant Hilari Sacalm, and Susqueda. The main objective is to optimize the quality and continuity of the electricity supply in a region characterized by its complex orography and forests, serving thousands of users.
Among the planned actions are the construction of new medium-voltage lines, the creation of electrical loops to ensure alternatives in case of a fault, and the modernization of existing transformation centers. These improvements will help reduce service interruption times and increase response capacity to incidents or extreme weather phenomena.
The project also includes specific interventions, such as increasing voltage in certain lines and reconfiguring the network to make it more efficient and resilient. Furthermore, the plan is part of a broader strategy for modernizing the electricity grid in the Girona demarcation, and will also have a positive impact on municipalities in Gironès and Garrotxa.
