The Mossos d'Esquadra and Customs Surveillance have shut down the largest counterfeit perfume factory discovered in Europe to date, located in the Selva region of Catalonia.

Authorities seized 1.2 million items stored across three warehouses in Arbúcies, Sant Feliu de Buixalleu, and Fogars de la Selva. These facilities were used for mixing chemical compounds and packaging the final products for illegal sale.
The criminal organization had been active since 2021, producing approximately 16,000 perfumes per day for international markets. Seven workers were arrested during the raids for working without legal contracts or residency permits.
While the production site has been neutralized, police are still searching for the two leaders of the organization who remain at large. The investigation continues as authorities track the distribution network of the seized goods.
