This incorporation is part of a comprehensive renovation project that seeks to turn the market into an innovative space. The new establishment will offer a proposal focused on healthy eating and fresh products, including fruits, vegetables, prepared meals, and options for on-site consumption. The goal is to complement the activity of traditional stalls and enhance the shopping experience for both residents and visitors.
The market will feature a dozen specialized establishments, such as fishmongers, butchers, bakeries, and cheese shops. Additionally, tasting areas will be added to enhance the gastronomic and social aspect of the facility, creating a more dynamic and attractive atmosphere.
This model aligns with the municipal strategy to foster a
“"Market family"
, composed of local operators who share values such as quality, innovation, and local roots. The project also has a clear tourism focus, aiming to attract both the local population and visitors to Lloret de Mar.
In parallel, the City Council has promoted various actions to improve the market's surroundings and revitalize the old town. These include the remodeling of Verge de Loreto street, which has been converted into a single platform to improve accessibility, and improvements to Sènia del Ràbic street, with more vegetation and shaded areas. Actions have also been carried out in the building's car park to optimize mobility and signage, as well as the adaptation of the main access to the market.
