The Lloret de Mar City Council has presented the second stage of the Lloret Actua Plan, a comprehensive initiative aimed at boosting security, civic behavior, and environmental quality in the Selva region.

This new phase continues the policies started in 2025. Key measures include increased night surveillance at the Pere Torrent square parking lot and stricter schedule regulations in areas with high noise levels. Additionally, the council plans to hire 4 new security assistants.
Regarding mobility, the plan includes restricting bus access to the seafront promenade during summer and a pilot project to calm traffic on Just Marlés Avenue between July and August. The Safe Taxi program has also been introduced to improve night safety.

"We have not yet decided on the exact date for the traffic calming, but it will be between July and August."

The strategy also targets the commercial sector. Commercial displays on public roads will be regulated to reduce visual impact, and water pipes will be banned at beach bars to promote a more sustainable tourism model.
