The mayor of Lloret de Mar has expressed concern over the Local Police situation, which saw 38 simultaneous absences over the weekend, leaving the municipality without night patrols.

The Local Police of Lloret de Mar experienced a weekend marked by a labor dispute resulting in 38 simultaneous officer absences. This situation led to the municipality being left without patrols during the night, an event the mayor, Adrià Lamelas, described as "extraordinary and very worrying".
Faced with this scenario, the municipal government team has been compelled to hire private security services and request reinforcements from the Mossos d'Esquadra to ensure public safety while a resolution to the conflict is sought.
The mayor indicated that negotiations with police representatives to improve their working conditions have been ongoing for months. However, he emphasized that the government team maintains adherence to legality as a "red line" in any agreement that may be reached.
