Advocacy groups for the Tren-Tram in the Girona province have merged into a single organization to strengthen their influence and demand urgent railway improvements from the Generalitat.

The Association for the Development of Railways and Public Transport in the Girona Regions was officially established on February 27th. The founding assembly connected four locations, including Lloret de Mar, with over 70 participants involved.
Led by president Xavi Baena and vice-president Agustí Palà, the entity focuses on three main goals: the Costa Brava Tren-Tram, the Girona–Banyoles–Olot corridor, and the rail link between Lloret and Blanes.
The association claims that the region suffers from a historical lack of investment and urges the Catalan Government to move beyond preliminary studies into the actual implementation of these transport projects.
