The Primary Care Team of Sils – Vidreres – Maçanet has managed to reduce in-person visits to CAPs by 86% thanks to a project that centralizes medication renewal management in administrative staff since March last year.

The Primary Care Team of Sils – Vidreres – Maçanet, which provides assistance to the three municipalities in the Selva plain, in addition to Riudarenes, has successfully implemented a project to optimize user medication management.
This initiative has allowed for a notable 86% reduction in in-person visits to the CAP for prescription renewals. The system centralizes the control of users' medication plans within the administrative staff, freeing up time for healthcare professionals.
The program began implementation in March of last year with a reduced group of patients. Given the excellent results obtained in the pilot test, it was quickly extended to the entire primary care team.
Starting in the autumn, the successful model developed by the EAP Sils – Vidreres – Maçanet has begun to be replicated and has already been extended to the teams in Cassà de la Selva and Salt, aiming to improve efficiency in regional healthcare management.
