The first shuttle train departed from Blanes shortly after four in the afternoon this Thursday, marking the resumption of service on the section affected by a landslide between Tordera and Maçanet. This incident, which occurred in mid-January, caused no injuries.
Despite the recovery, Renfe maintains the alternative road service, as the frequency of the new shuttle train is one passage every 90 minutes. This measure aims to mitigate the impact on the R1 and RG1 lines.
“"the work of the last few days is starting to yield results"
The Minister of Territory, Sílvia Paneque, highlighted that the recovery of this section will benefit approximately 1,300 people. Regarding the rest of the network, the frequency between Blanes and Mataró will be two trains per hour in each direction. On the branch connecting to L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, five trains per hour in each direction will be maintained.
