Around seventy people gathered in Sant Hilari Sacalm this Thursday to participate in the 10th Guilleries Conference, focused on managing flood risks in urban areas.

The meeting, organized by the Water, Nature and Wellbeing Chair, involved the Sant Hilari Sacalm Town Council, the University of Vic, and the University of Girona. Mayor Jordi Rotllant opened the session, emphasizing the need to address climate challenges affecting many municipalities.
During the presentations, Agnès Centellas Capsada from Civil Protection explained the necessity of updating the Inuncat plan. Meanwhile, Anna Ribas Palom from UdG advocated for strategies that work with nature rather than relying solely on traditional hydraulic engineering.

"The combination of orography, land use, and climate change has made it necessary to rethink the Inuncat plan to strengthen it."
