A poorly signposted public transport stop in an isolated residential area, lacking benches or shelter.
Residents of Sils residential areas have filed a formal complaint with the Síndica de Greuges (Ombudsman) against the on-demand taxi service, criticizing the inflexible schedules and the 3-euro cost per trip.
The pilot test, operational since October, offers two morning outbound and two afternoon return trips daily. The price is three euros per journey, but booking is required one day in advance. If the reserved service is not used, the user must bear the full cost, which is around 23 euros.
The route connects the residential areas of les Comes, Vallcanera, and les Mallorquines with the center of Sils. Les Comes is located more than seven kilometers away, a distance that, according to residents, exacerbates isolation, especially for the elderly. The Plataforma de Transport de Sils criticizes the lack of prior consultation.

"Neither the schedules nor the price work for us. We have to request the service well in advance, and six euros round trip is a high cost compared to other public services."
Residents also warn that the schedules do not align with trains or buses towards Girona or Barcelona, complicating travel for workers and students. Furthermore, they point out that many stops are poorly signposted and lack benches or weather protection. The complaint to the Síndica de Greuges seeks to analyze whether the service meets good administration criteria before the trial ends in May.

"A regular bus service with constant linkage is absolutely unaffordable. With this model, we avoid vehicles circulating empty and offer residents a reduced price. A trip that would cost 16 or 17 euros by taxi now costs three."
Mayor Eduard Colomé defends the model as the only affordable solution. Despite this, Colomé regrets the moderate use of the service, with only 20 to 30 monthly trips. According to IDESCAT 2024 data, of the 6,706 inhabitants of Sils, nearly 4,000 reside outside the main town center.
