Intense rainfall affecting the Girona area over the last few hours has pushed the Susqueda dam beyond its ordinary limit. According to data recorded this afternoon, the reservoir is currently in an exceptional state, surpassing its full storage volume.

The weather event, known as Storm Regina, has caused various incidents across the territory, particularly in Gironès and Baix Empordà. Rising river levels and saturated ground have been the main concerns during a day of constant monitoring of hydraulic infrastructure.
