A joint operation by the Mossos d'Esquadra and local police forces from Blanes and Lloret de Mar inspected 28 taxis on the GI-600 road, leading to 17 fines for various irregularities.

Last week, law enforcement agencies conducted a taxi control operation within the municipality of Blanes. The action involved the Mossos d'Esquadra, supported by the Local Police of Blanes and Lloret de Mar.
During the operation, a total of 28 vehicles were inspected. As a result, 17 fines were issued for various infractions, primarily related to required documentation and the general condition of the taxis.
Among the most notable actions was the impoundment of a taxi belonging to a Barcelona-based company. This vehicle was operating the route between Lloret de Mar and El Prat Airport, and it was found to be circulating with an expired ITV (vehicle inspection) and severe deficiencies in its tires, posing a safety risk to passengers.
