The Consell Comarcal de la Selva presented the Tourdera route at the Fitur fair in Madrid on Wednesday afternoon, highlighting it as a key sustainable and regenerative tourism project connecting 18 municipalities.

The Tourdera project follows the course of the Tordera River and the Arbúcies stream, linking the Montseny Natural Park with the Mediterranean Sea. This initiative combines hiking and cycle tourism and integrates 18 municipalities across the regions of Selva, Vallès Oriental, and Maresme.
To promote active tourism and diversify the seasonal offer, the route has been divided into 29 sections that can be completed from town to town. Furthermore, starting next summer, a digital planner will be incorporated, allowing users to design their customized route.

The initial objective was to promote a local development project to diversify the tourism offer and attract visitors to inland municipalities.

The route began operations in 2019, following the final signaling actions. The governance model relies on a technical office managed by the Consell Comarcal de la Selva and monitoring commissions involving the 18 participating councils.
