The Consell Comarcal de la Selva presented the sustainable tourism route Tourdera at Fitur (Madrid) last Wednesday, January 21, connecting 18 municipalities from Montseny to the Mediterranean.

The Tourdera is a sustainable tourism project that combines hiking and cycle tourism, following the course of the Tordera river and the Arbúcies stream. This initiative, which began operating in 2019 with the signaling of the routes, aims to consolidate itself as a regenerative and high-quality offering.
The route links a total of 18 municipalities belonging to the regions of Selva, Vallès Oriental, and Maresme. It is divided into 29 sections that allow for village-to-village tours, and offers four different modalities to complete the entire journey.
The main objective of the project is to boost local development, diversify the tourist offer, and de-seasonalize the sector, attracting visitors to inland municipalities by leveraging the popularity of the coast. The governance model includes a technical office managed by the Consell Comarcal de la Selva and monitoring commissions with the 18 involved city councils.
To enhance the user experience, a digital planner will be added starting this summer, allowing users to customize their route. The presentation at the Madrid tourism fair provides visibility to the project, following the line of other products like the Vescomtat de Cabrera presented in previous editions.
