The Tossa de Mar Council is finalizing the second phase of the coastal path recovery between the town and Porto Pi, restoring a route closed since the 2020 storm.

The works focus on the section between North Porto Pi and South Porto Pi. This area was heavily damaged by Storm Gloria in January 2020, leading to its closure for safety reasons. The project began in late February and is now in its final stages.
Due to the steep terrain, a helicopter was required to airlift construction materials to the site. This aerial support has been crucial for completing tasks in areas where land access is nearly impossible for heavy equipment.
The total investment for both phases exceeds 141,000 euros, funded by the Tourism Sustainability Plans. This restoration also improves the 16th stage of the Camí de Mar, a 250-kilometer route connecting Argelès-sur-Mer in France to Malgrat de Mar.
