The investigation, initiated by the Blanes police station, allowed the identification of the two individuals as alleged perpetrators of six robberies with violence and intimidation, four thefts, and two extortions. In six of these incidents, both detainees acted jointly.
Their modus operandi involved operating at night or early morning, using violence to knock down victims and steal their personal belongings. Victims suffered injuries of varying severity. One of the arrested individuals is accused of four additional violent robberies committed individually between January 10 and 31.
Among the most serious incidents is the robbery on January 19 on Carrer Fàbrica, where a victim was dragged down stairs to steal her bag. Another notable event occurred on January 31 on Avinguda Vidreres, where the victim suffered a hand fracture after being punched.
In addition to the robberies, the accused also resorted to extortion. After stealing items such as keys or a scooter, they demanded money from the victims for the return of the stolen loot.
The Mossos arrested the two men, who have numerous prior records, on February 2. Both were brought before the duty court in Blanes on February 4.
