The event, which aims to highlight the value of family theater and bring performing arts closer to children, youth, and families, will feature 44 theaters and performance spaces from over thirty Catalan municipalities. A total of 46 shows by 42 different companies will be presented, driven by the ADETCA Family Commission.
The main objective of 'Porta'm al teatre' is to place family theater at the center of theater listings, creating new audiences and fostering a habit of cultural consumption from the earliest stages of life. The initiative also seeks to establish theater as a meeting point for families to share experiences and emotions.
This initiative is supported by the Association of Theater for All Audiences (TTP), the La Xarxa Foundation for Children and Youth Performing Arts of Catalonia, and 3Cat, with the backing of the Generalitat de Catalunya, as part of the I Plan for the Promotion of Theater in Catalonia 2023-2026.
The selected performance for Lloret de Mar is 'La tempesta', by the company Zero en Conducta. This play tells the story of a young rapper who seems to be constantly angry and carries a cloud above him that never leaves. It explores adolescent rebellion and the relationship with his father, discovering shared vulnerabilities and dreams.
The play presents a tender and vibrant story about the relationship between parents and children, the inner storm of growing up, and the magic of finding someone with whom to wait out the tempest. It has received the FETEN 2025 Award for best puppet show and the Audience Award at the Mostra d’Igualada 2025.
