The fire started around 5:30 PM on Sunday, January 18, at the beach bar located in Sant Salvador Park in Santa Coloma de Farners. The causes of the fire are still under investigation by the competent authorities.
Three units of the Bombers de la Generalitat (Fire Department) were quickly dispatched to the scene, along with personnel from the Local Police, the Mossos d’Esquadra, the Medical Emergency System (SEM), Civil Protection volunteers, and the municipal Forest Defense Group. All bodies worked in coordination to control and extinguish the blaze.

Although no injuries were reported, the fire generated a dense smoke column visible from various points in Santa Coloma de Farners. The City Council has asked the public not to access the area until the investigation and cleanup work has been completed.
