The Tossa de Mar Municipal Library has joined the 'Born to Read' program, an initiative by the Catalan Library Service that promotes early childhood reading for children aged 0 to 3.

This project is designed for families with infants aged 0 to 3, with the primary goal of sparking interest in books from the very first months of life. Additionally, it seeks to strengthen the emotional bond between adults and children through shared reading, creating moments of connection and learning.
The program offers a variety of resources and activities adapted to this stage, including stories, songs, rhymes, and lap games. These proposals are designed to foster the emotional, cognitive, and linguistic development of the little ones. It also encourages collaboration between libraries and health professionals to provide comprehensive support to families.
As part of this incorporation, the library has organized several free sessions during this spring. These activities include storytelling, music, and read-aloud sessions, all aimed at families with young children, providing a space for interaction and enjoyment.
With this adhesion, Tossa de Mar reinforces the role of its library as an essential support point for families and as a driving force for promoting reading habits from the earliest ages.
